Vet’s unrealistic expectations for jobs

A recent study was published by Volunteers of America in cooperation with the University of Southern California that described the post military service problems veterans have when trying to find employment in the private sector.

Vet’s job expectations – Military Times

Most of the problems stem from vets not being prepared to transition due to the inability to translate their military experience to private sector companies and the lack of understanding of military roles and responsibilities by the companies they apply to.

BOOKCOVERBy reading the book “Master the Transition“, while still on active duty, these military personnel would have understood the importance of translating their experience, learning how to communicate in a way that enables the reader (hiring company) to understand what is being said or written, developing a timeline for success, and in grasping the concept of making the transition in lieu of becoming frustrated by everyone else not understanding them.
